CONGRATULATIONS to my former French horn student Carrie & her soon-to-be husband Vince, who are getting married Friday! We’re delighted to share with you our final Pandemic Project (we hope) and our present to Carrie & Vince for their wedding:
In the before times, Carrie asked us to play her wedding & cocktail hour, scheduled for fall 2020…then spring 2021…now FINALLY fall 2021! Originally a fun 4-day trip to Illinois, “Carrie’s wedding music” quickly became a Covid arranging / playing / recording / sound engineering project for the two of us. Here’s the love song playlist, recorded in our teeny upstairs “sound studio” with quilts hanging from the walls for acoustic dampening.
Covid was hard for performing artists, especially when we missed making music with all of our friends. Adam & I are grateful to have one another at all times, but especially so in lockdown when we had each other to make beautiful music with, and this fun project to energize us.
